Happy Easter

My house is tidy and the dining room table has been cleared of the piles of books, toys, magazines etc that seem to be drawn to open, flat surfaces in our house.  It is lovely to have colourful flowers on the table, orange roses from Donald yesterday and a pink Cyclamen from my mum.  I've even managed to dig out our dyed egg collection that we have done over the years to decorate with as well as Toby's easter hat and baskets that he has made at school.

We do not have anything planned for this weekend, not that we ever plan much, we tend to just go with the flow, but there is the possibility of braving the Royal Easter Show, some crochet and gardening for me, church for us all and definitely sleep in's are on the agenda.  It will be our last free Saturday before soccer games officially start on the 14th, that is unless there are a few rained out games.  So I'm very happy the holidays are here.

We started this lovely long weekend with a Family Home Evening tonight by reading John 13:1-35 and then watching this video from our church about Jesus Christ and The Last Supper.  It has brought the Spirit into our home and hopefully the boys will think more about the reason for us celebrating Easter and the wondrous hope and joy we have in our lives knowing that we too can be resurrected to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.  I loved the biblical video's at Christmas time and am glad we have easy access to them as spiritual reminders we can turn to any time we desire.

Here's wishing you all a Happy and Safe Easter Holiday

Many Blessings to you all

Love the Earth Walker family
