Blogging has taken a back seat for the moment and so has my cooking blog, not many photo's are being taken, the food doesn't look as pretty, inspiration and energy are at a low.
We had a busy week last week with a church Primary activity as well as the usual soccer training, swimming etc. Here's Donald and Sam putting the finishing touches to the 8ft tall Goliath. We had a Scripture Olympics, a bit of fun for the kids while learning about the scriptures. We flung marshmallows at Goliaths head among other things.
Early Saturday morning I managed to get three boys into the car by 7.15 am for a half an hours drive to Annangrove for Sam's 8.15 am soccer game. We arrived in good time for a warm up only to discover nobody else turned up. After a phone call to Donald (who was cosy in his bed sleeping after a long nights work) to confirm the correct field and time, we were in the right place at the right time. However we'd missed a text that Donald had received the day before saying the game was cancelled due to too many sick players and to enjoy your sleep in. Hmmm!! The boys and I just chose to enjoy the early morning drive back home past the frosty fields, our car thermometer told us it was 1°C.
We had a little break at home before Ethan's game which was at a more sensible time of 10.45am and a little closer to home. Even after spending the week at home with the flu and after an extra early morning start Ethan managed to score three goals to help his team win, what a player!
We also got a lovely suprise last week. We have a bunny now.
A friend from church felt her daughter had grown out of their rabbit and he was a little neglected so we inherited him. At least we think it's a him and he's not that neglected either. He's a lovely fat snuggly bunny that loves his food. He fits well into the Walker house. We've still to decide on a name for him, the boys keep suggesting Michael Jackson for some reason. We've put names into the hat to help us choose but nobody can agree on any one in particular. We've thought up Jack Rascal, Charcoal, someone keeps suggesting Krusty, I'm not a big fan of that one, and I came up with Obelix. No matter, we'll decide on something sooner or later, but it's just fun and he's such a lovely rabbit, the boys are pretty happy too.
On another note I have Toby and Sam home all week with the flu, coughs and temperatures. I think that swine flu has definately hit our area as 50% of the kids at school are home sick with the same thing. Just as well we have the holidays to recover and keep away from any further sickness. Only two days to go.

Neil suggested "Yummy" or "Mr Flopsy"... I reckon "Peter". Have you guys read Watership Down ? The kids might like it at the moment, we've just read it recently.

There will be some jealous people in Brisbane - hat is one cute bunny - and swine flu! Peet keeps walking by anyone with a cough and inhaling deeply in the hope of catching it - he wants the time off school - the old quarantine idea sounds fantasztic to me too.
