Celebrations

School holidays started Friday afternoon so it was cause to celebrate with a lovely strawberries and cream sponge cake for afternoon tea.

The other reason to celebrate was because I got my camera back at last. We had received a letter in the mail from Canon explaining to us that the warranty wouldn't cover the repairs as it wasn't a manufacture fault.  It was going to cost us $9 for the new part and about $340 for labour.  Not happy!! Donald came to the rescue and went up to Canon headquarters to voice our complaint, he came home with the camera somehow repaired at no charge.  Very Happy!!  With his gentle art of persuasion Donald had managed to get our camera back,  considering it is only 6 mths old, this kind of problem shouldn't have happened. (One of the contact pins where the memory card inserts was bent down, so it couldn't contact with the card and so the camera wouldn't work.) Maybe they just straightened the pin, maybe they replaced it, it seems to work, I just don't think i'll be taking the card out for a while.
