Havoc & Mayhem in Gunnedah

Last Sunday afternoon after church we went for a drive.........to Gunnedah!  Donald's dad and two brothers Alister & Campbell were working on a pivot (irrigation system for crops) out there and seeing as it's closer to visit than Rockhampton we decided to make a quick visit.  We found a motel to stay that would fit us all (down the road from Grandads motel) and got some pizza for dinner and sat around with the uncles and Grandad catching up on news.

The next day (Monday) we went out to the property to visit Wayne, Alister & Campbell.  It took us a while to get going in the morning as Ethan decided he wanted to stay in the motel room and wouldn't budge.  I ended up carrying him over my shoulder to the car with him kicking and cursing....which continued in the car for about another 10kms down the road.

Finally the darkness lifted and we were all enjoying ourselves in the car and the boys finally got to see their Grandad and Uncles in action (raiding the cookie container that I had brought).

Grandad took the boys for a ride on the tractor, Toby looked so serious but when he got off he was full of smiles and thought it was the coolest thing riding with Grandad.

The uncles took Sam & Ethan under their wings and let them drill holes, move the crane and generally show them what they were doing and how to do it safely.
