Autumn is here at last.....I mean the real Autumn. The cool change has finally come, the leaves are fluttering and falling.
For the past two months I've been relishing the Indian Summer that we've had, of warm sunny days and slightly cooler nights. Although it has taken the leaves a little while to change this year and we aren't expecting any snow either, but it did have me reminiscing about the Indian Summers in Canada.
Yesterday finally brought the cool, windy Autumn days that I love.
It's my favourite time of year and I thought it was going to pass me by and hop straight into cold and dreary winter.
My emotions are a little crazy at the moment, after having family stay for Ethan's baptism and then leave, with Donald busy working long hours and then Stacy and her family flying back to the States forever, I've been breaking out in tears and snapping at the children.
I'm tired and emotional but hearing the swish, crunch of the leaves as I walk the boys to school and the gentle fluttering of the leaves in the breeze has definitely made me feel better.
Swish crunch.....flutter.

I am so glad that autumn has finally come. It was funny for us to come from leaves changing color to blossoms on the trees.
Hopefully your spirits are filling lifted with the crisp air and beautiful colors.

Stacy, you certainly have missed a beautiful Autumn. The air is dry here too, the sky is blue and it's cool at last but with warm days. At least it gets me outside searching for the perfect leaf. Hope you've managed to catch some of the Spring blossoms before they disappear.
