The rest of last weekend

Last Saturday afternoon we threw what halloween decorations we had, lollies and costumes into the back of the car and drove to the chapel where the trunk and treat had begun.  Donald had spent all Saturday morning creating helmets for the three boys, all Star Wars themed.  Sam was a Rebel trouper from Hoth,  Ethan was a Rebel trouper (different helmet) and Toby was Boba Fett.

For those of you who don't know, a trunk and treat is all about dressing up the back of your car and the kids trick or treat from car to car.  Everyone meets at our church car park, we usually have a few activities and games before hand and then the children go from car to car.  It's fun and a safer activity than going from house to house in some neighbourhoods.

Trick or treat bounty

On Halloween night Donald carved our pumpkin, on one side was a jack-o-lantern face and the other side a spider. The evening was rather like a real Halloween night in Canada, it was rainy and cool, but it didn't dampen any trick or treaters in our street, they still came a knocking.

Donald is the best pumpkin carver.

The boys went to bed that night...and the next night, with the jack-o-lantern lit in their room, with the reverse side reflected in the mirror.
